The day featured a Walk of Unity, that drew thousands of Joplin area residents and supporters. The group walked a 3.7 mile path through the tornado zone, before ending up at Cunningham Park. A Day of Unity program was held there Tuesday evening, and featured speakers, a memorial plaque dedication, and the presentation of six time capsules.
