  • A Neosho man was killed Friday afternoon when his motorcycle overturned on a wet Newton County roadway, ejecting him into the path of an oncoming car.
Joshua P. Jackson, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene by Newton County Coroner Mark Bridges. Jackson’s body was taken to Clark Funeral Home in Neosho.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 2:51 p.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 86, four miles east of Neosho. A patrol report said a westbound 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Jackson went out of control on the wet roadway and overturned. Jackson was thrown from the cycle into the path of an eastbound 1997 Mercury Tracer driven by Susan K. Willoughby, 50, of Stark City.
Willoughby was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, a patrol report noted.
