  • Berloris Jean Lewis, 66, Stark City, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at her home, following a lengthy illness.

  • Berloris Jean Lewis, 66, Stark City, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at her home, following a lengthy illness.
    She was born Oct. 13, 1945, in Granby, to Dwain and Lenora (Bryant) Rice.
    Mrs. Lewis grew up in Tuttle, Okla., and moved to Stark City in 1971. She was a homemaker and loved to sew and fish. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Neosho.
    Berloris and James "Jimmy" Lewis were married Oct. 12, 1963, at Sweetwater Baptist Church; Jim survives.
    She is also survived by a daughter, Kimborley Sherwood, Stark City; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Laurie Lewis, Ingleside, Texas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, George Ann Rice, Chickashaw, Okla.; and a brother, Gary Rice, Phoenix, Ariz.
    She was preceded in death by a grandchild.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho, with Gary Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Hazel Green Cemetery, Boulder City. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Crews, Jim Hardwicke, Harold Smith, Lynn Jenkins, Rick Murray, and Larry Branham.
    Friends may call at the funeral home, in Neosho, from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., today where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today. The casket will be closed at all times.
