E. Ann Hembree, 64, Stark City, died Aug. 10, 2012, at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, following an illness since December 2011. Ann was born Aug. 12, 1947, in Neosho, the daughter of Cecil and Maggie Ann (Shields) Hembree. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked at Sunbeam and Scholastic. She was a member of Silver Moon Full Gospel Church and enjoyed bingo, crocheting and photography. Ann is survived by two daughters, Sheila Weston and husband, Junior, Granby and Kay Culbertson and husband, Dan, Diamond; 11 grandchildren, Kody Carter, Maranda Bowman, Kalen Childers, Kristopher Culbertson, Maggie Culbertson, Kaden Culbertson, Makayah Culbertson, Nathan Weston, Emily Weston, Maisie Weston and Svea Wagner; two great grandchildren, Carter Bowman and Sophia Carter; and four brothers, Paul Hembree, Joplin, Melvin Hembree, Seneca, Eddie Hembree, Racine and Wesley Hembree, Racine. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and five brothers. The body has been taken for cremation and a memorial service will be held Tuesday evening at the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church.
