  • Seven people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash that took place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 60, seven miles east of Seneca.
    Jessica F. Harter, 33, of Sarcoxie; Jesiah G. Harter, 7, of Sarcoxie; Ashton C. Harter, 1, of Sarcoxie; and Clayton J. Driskill, 27, of Seneca, were taken to McCune-Brooks Mercy Hospital in Carthage for treatment. Meanwhile, Jersey E. Stansill, 8 and Tylee R. Stansill, 13, both of Neosho, along with Tracy L. Barnes, 49, of Neosho, were taken to Joplin’s Freeman West Hospital. All were treated for minor injuries.
    The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened as an eastbound 2004 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Barnes was attempting to make a left turn and was struck from behind by a 2000 Ford F150 pickup driven by Jessica Harter.
    All were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, a patrol report noted.
