  • Maxine Violet Bonebrake, 84, of Granby, formerly of Neosho, departed this life on Friday evening, Sept. 7, 2012, at the Granby House in Granby after a recent decline in health.

  • Maxine Violet Bonebrake, 84, of Granby, formerly of Neosho, departed this life on Friday evening, Sept. 7, 2012, at the Granby House in Granby after a recent decline in health.
     Maxine entered this life on Oct. 4, 1927, in the state of Colorado, born to the union of the late Truman and Opal (Williams) Gibson.
    She was raised and attended school in Anderson.
    On April 2, 1948, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Bonebrake and to this union a daughter and son were born. She retied from Sunbeam in Neosho after several years of employment. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowerbeds. She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Neosho.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kenneth Beachhold, who passed away six months after their wedding; her second husband, Frank L. Bonebrake on Jan. 30, 1960; a son, Darrell Bonebrake; and a sister, Dorothy Crosby.
     Maxine is survived by her daughter, Doris Ann Copeland and husband, Jack, of Neosho; four grandchildren, Michael Hunt and wife, Mindy, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; Shane Bonebrake and wife, Amanda, of Eucha, Okla.; Jeff Copeland and wife, Christine, of Neosho; and Leeann Manning and husband, Jody, of Tulsa, Okla.; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany, Jordan, Emiley, Josh, Koby, Averie, Alexa, Nathan and Remington; as well as a host of other family and friends.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Bonebrake are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes, with Pastor Tommy Burr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanagan Cemetery in Lanagan. 
    Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Michael Hunt, Jack Copeland, Jeff Copeland, Shane Bonebrake, Jody Manning, David Lee Chandler and Larry Bonebrake. 
    The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
