PEA RIDGE, Ark. — The McDonald County volleyball team earned a best-of-five victory over Pea Ridge on Monday, 22-25, 14-25, 25-22, 25-17, 15-13.
With their backs against the wall after losing the first two sets of the night, the Lady Mustangs managed to pull together and eek out a close win in the third set. That momentum carried them the rest of the way as they easily handled the fourth set, before another close one in the fifth set also went their way.
Shobi Burris led the Lady Mustangs with 13 service points and four aces. Dani Pierce had 24 assists and 10 digs. Preslea Reese was the kills leader with 20. Alisha Ballard had eight digs. Haley Stephens finished with 19 service points.
The Lady Mustangs improved to 11-4 this season.
