  • The Neosho boys varsity cross country team took fourth place out of 12 teams at the Owasso Ram Invitational at Owasso Sports Park Complex on Thursday.

  • OWASSO, Okla. — The Neosho boys varsity cross country team took fourth place out of 12 teams at the Owasso Ram Invitational at Owasso Sports Park Complex on Thursday.
    The Lady Wildcats, meanwhile, finished with no team score in the two-mile competition.
    Garrett Wood took first place in the 5K run with a 16:31. He and Chance Burr, who took fifth place with a run of 17:00, medaled for the Wildcats. Other results for Neosho were: 23, Carter Hickman 17:50; 32, Cole Bishop 18:08; 58, Kobi Miller 19:05; 63, Adam England 19:21; 64, Cameron Guillion-Langley 19:22.
    Amber Bates medaled for the varsity girls in a time of 12:37. Karina Abarambayera finished 27th in 13:30. Jordan O’Hara took 73rd in 17:35.
    The junior high boys finished eighth in the 5K. Results were: 19, Kris Avandano 20:00; 38, Thomas Vernon 21:04; 44, Lyle Jackson 21:46; 49, Niko Russell 22:18; 53, Jordan Huggins 23:10; 54, Jordan Wirth 23:20; 56, Kaleb Sprenger 26:52.
    Neosho is at the Central Ozark Conference Large Division meet at Nixa on Tuesday.
