Dianne Marie (Yust) Kelly, Seneca, 58, passed into her eternal reward, Oct. 7, 2012 at her home after a year and a half battle with cancer.
Dianne was born Dec. 10, 1953 in Miami, Okla., to Anthony Joseph Yust and Rose Marie (Kramer) Yust. Her mother preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Michael R. Kelly; and daughters and best friends, Stacy L. Kelly, Joplin, and Melissa A. Kelly, Lowell, Ark. Additional survivors include her father, Anthony Yust, Seneca, and siblings: Michael Yust and Kay, Seneca, Kathy Patton and Carl, Seneca, Charlene Anderson and Fred, Seneca, Charles Yust and Jana, Goodman, Terry Yust and Sue, Carthage, Joe Yust and Rhonda, Seneca, Angie Roark and Brian, Seneca, Brian Yust and Kenda, Seneca, Neil Yust and Lois, Carthage, and Carolyn Stephens and Brandon, Seneca; and more than 60 nieces and nephews.
She lived in the Seneca area all of her adult life and graduated from Seneca High School in 1971. After graduation, she was employed as a nurse tech at St. John’s hospital. Dianne was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Seneca, where she served as co-treasurer and was a member and past president of the Council of Catholic Women. She was a troop leader and board member for the Girl Scout Area Council, and home room mother for many, many years. Dianne was employed at Kelly & Compton, CPAs in Neosho, as a bookkeeper and secretary. She also served on the Seneca American Cancer Society Relay For Life committee.
Dianne was a loving daughter, wife and mother, who loved to travel with her family and take her daughters shopping. She enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, making Christmas candy with her sisters, and loved to spend time with her extended family, who greatly loved and admired their Aunt Dianne.
Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Joplin, (temporary location at 1230 East 7th Street, in the Joplin Plaza, just east of 7th and Illinois).
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Joplin. Fr. Justin Monaghan officiating. Internment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Seneca.
Pallbearers will be her brothers; Michael Yust, Charles Yust, Terry Yust, Joe Yust, Brian Yust and Neil Yust. Honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Kelly.
