Jacob Cameron Mace, 93, Neosho, died Oct. 23, 2012 at his home, following a short illness.
Jacob was born Aug. 23, 1919 in Dunmore, W.Va., the son of Jacob A. and Minnie (Kelly) Mace.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, Jan. 2, 1943 – Feb. 17, 1946. He worked in automotive sales and moved to Neosho in 1985 from Mississippi. Jacob married Madene Northington on April 5, 1953 and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James C. Mace, Neosho; Joseph P. Mace, Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Phyllis Keese and Sherry A. Mace, both of Roanoak, Va.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, five brothers and three sisters. Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Rev. James Link will officiate. Interment will be in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Thursday and the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
