Debra Sue ‘Debbie’ Cullum, 58, Joplin, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Freeman West Hospital.
Debbie was born May 13, 1954 in Joplin to Junior C. Gouge and the late Shirley J. Hunt and was a resident of the Joplin area most of her life.
She graduated from Crowder College, Neosho and was a substitute teacher in the Baxter Springs School System for several years. She worked at the AT&T Call Center in Joplin for several years. Debbie was very proud that one of her sons is a master sergeant in the United States Air Force.
Debbie is survived by three children, Stephanie Lamoreaux-Cope, Tulsa, Okla., MSgt Seth Cullum and his wife, Danielle, Wichita, Kan., Nathaniel Cullum, Joplin; her father, Junior C. Gouge, Seneca; one brother, Alan Gouge, Seneca; two sisters, Christy Grigg, Blue Jacket, Okla., Lisa Vogt, Seneca; and four grandchildren, Andria Davis, Victoria Cullum, Hunter Cullum and Julian Cope.
A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday at Galena Assembly of God. Pastor Randy DePriest will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
