  • On Friday, Ozark Christian Academy, 906 Summit St., will host their annual fall fundraiser.
An American theme will be supported by activities, food and games and will take place at 6:30 p.m., Friday. The public is invited to attend. An open house of the school will precede the fundraiser at 6 p.m. The menu will consist of chili, hot dogs, nachos, funnel cakes, hot pretzels, snow cones and caramel apples. Prices for adults are $3.50, children 5-11 are $2 and 4 and under are free. There is also a family package for $15.
The proceeds raised from the silent auction and the chili dinner goes to a good cause.
"This year, we are using it to refurbish a piano," said Mary Kimble, president of the PTF (parent-teacher fellowship) with the school. "We have the original piano from the Bible Holiness Church when it started. We are having it refinished and then we are having an electric piano in that piano box. It is to refurbish our piano for our chapel."
The event has been held for more than 20 years, Kimble noted. Last year, they raised just under $2,500.
There will also be an auction with various items. Items for the silent auction include gift certificates to area restaurants, home decor items, Branson shows, automotive items and homemade items to name a few.
"We are still accepting donations. We would love to have donations," she said.
