  • The annual free bean feed, hosted by the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held Saturday Nov. 3, in the cafeteria of Neosho Middle School, 1400 Hale McGinty Drive, Neosho, 64850.
    Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the buffet line will begin at 6:30 p.m.
    The menu will include ham and beans, cornbread, and iced tea. All Republicans voters are welcome to attend.
    Featured guest speakers will include U.S. Senator Roy Blunt, 7th District US Congressman Billy Long, Governor Candidate Dave Spence, Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder, Secretary of State Candidate Shane Schoeller, and State Treasurer Candidate Cole McNary. State Representatives Davis, Lant, Reiboldt, White and Senator Ron Richard will make presentations on Nov. 6 ballot issues and judicial ballot questions.
    The Republican Women of Newton County will be hosting a silent auction. For details on how to drop off donations for the silent auction please call Lynn Otey at 825-7126.
    In order to ensure enough seating and food for the event, a head count will need to be provided to our caterer.
