  • The Neosho volleyball team recently held its awards banquet for the 2012 season.
    For the varsity squad the Most Valuable Player award went to senior Tori Eads. Eads, who finished her career at Neosho with 1,205 career assists, also won a stats award for recording 334 assists this season along with 28 aces.
    The Wildcat Award went to Sam Duke. She also picked up the stats award for collecting 104 digs this season. The Most Improved award went to Addi Long.
    Senior Reba Potts picked up an award for career record service points with 416. Other awards for the varsity team went to Potts with 109 kills and Morgan Rogers for her 46 blocks.
    The junior varsity team handed out stats awards to three players. Chelsy Laster picked up awards in three categories as she had 28 aces, 70 kills and 29 digs this season. Kennedy Lyerla grabbed some hardware with 184 assists, and Josie Ludwig got an award for her five blocks.
    Brooke Stauffer brought home three awards for the ninth grade squad. Her achievements were 44 kills, 13 blocks and 10 digs. Reanna Crandall won the assist award with 81 and Macy Smith picked up the aces award with 32.
