  • (What to Know About The) 13th Annual Senior Citizens Appreciation Banquet

  • WHAT: Free, traditional Thanksgiving meal for Neosho R-5 School District patrons over 60 years of age. Sponsored by Neosho R-5 School District and Charitable Foundation.
    WHEN: 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16
    WHERE: Neosho Middle School Gymnasium
    THEME: “Wildcat Nation.” Attendees are encouraged to wear the school colors, black and gold.
    “And if they have a Wildcat shirt they want to wear to show their school spirit, that would be great,” said Crystal Heiskell, event coordinator.
    WHAT ELSE: As parking is very limited, shuttles are available at 10:30 a.m. and leave at 11 a.m. at the following locations: 
    • Goodman First Baptist Church, (144 E Main St., Goodman).
    • First Christian Church (1314 Oak Ridge Dr.)
    • First Baptist Church (E.Hwy. 86, next to New-Mac Electric)
    • Calvary Baptist Church (2650 Oak Ridge Extension)
    • Northside Baptist Church (705 N. High St.)
    • Neosho High School (behind the high school)
    • Neosho Walmart Supercenter parking lot (northeast corner of parking lot)
    Attendees are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the shuttle service, due to the lack of available parking at the middle school. Shuttles will return after 1 p.m.
