Fordean Anna Crowder, 96, Pineville, passed away on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Anderson.
Fordean was born on March 26, 1916 in Cave Creek, Ark., to the late, James Dickey, Sr. and Viola (Kilburn) Dickey.
She married Clifford Wiley Crowder and to this union four children were born.
Fordean enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and sitting on her front porch. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Anderson.
Fordean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Crowder on Oct. 11, 2001; and two brothers, Carl Dickey and Orpheus Dickey.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Max Crowder and wife Antoinette, Purcellville, Va., Larry George Crowder and wife, Linda, Mobile, Ala., Gary Clifford Crowder, Sacramento, Calif., Florence Ann Crowder-Sanders, Pineville; two brothers, Edward Clark Dickey and wife, Luetta, Hermanston, Ore., James L. Dickey, Jr., Anderson; a sister-in-law, Carol Faust Dickey, Boise, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren; and several great- grandchildren; her caregivers, Carolyn Davidson, Linda Buster, BLinda Smith, Helen Hodge, Michele Rook, Betty Moore, as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Fordean.
Funeral services for Fordean Crowder will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson. Minister Tommie Burr will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. today at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home, the family will receive friends at this time.
