  • John W. Sullivan, 79, entered into rest on Nov. 28, 2012, at his home following a short illness.
He was born Oct. 1, 1933, in Malvern, Ark., to John Milton and Rhoda Altha (Mallett) Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Altha; sisters, Mary Lou Phillips, Carolyn Buckmaster; and nephew, Bruce Buckmaster.
Mr. Sullivan was a long-time resident of Neosho and was employed as manager of member service department at New-Mac Electric Coop for 34 years before his retirement in 1992. He was also known as the “Joke Man” and entertained one and all with his jokes. Recently he and wife Joan were honored by Belfast Baptist Church for their faithful work at Belfast for 38 years. He loved his family with all his heart and we will all greatly miss him.
