The Liberty (Mo.) girls basketball team opened play at the McDonald County Tournament on Friday with a 66-34 victory over Seneca.
Liberty started the game on fire and quickly dug a hole the Lady Indians couldn’t escape.
The loss dropped Seneca to 1-1 overall after opening its season on Thursday with a win over McDonald County.
Molli Cooper led the Lady Indians with 15 points while Annie Howard turned in nine, Rachel Butterfield four, Courtney Cook two, Willow Rhoades two and Bailey Skelton two.
Seneca entertains Diamond at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10. Fans should note the varsity will play first on that night followed by the junior varsity.
