  • Diamond’s defense was on point Monday night as the Lady Wildcats thumped Wheaton in a nonconference game, 49-18.
    The Lady Wildcats nearly scored enough points in the first quarter alone to win the game, as they went on a 17-0 run and led 34-4 at the half.
    Cady Littlefield led all scorers with 12 points while Hanna Million turned in nine, Maghen Dresslaer five, Heather Wilson eight, Shayla Jones and Kirsten Eden four, Macie Seward three, Caitlin Brock and Lauren Olson two each.
    The Lady Wildcats (3-2) travel to Seneca at 6 p.m. Monday. The varsity game will begin at 6 p.m. with the junior varsity game immediately following.
    Diamond’s junior varsity defeated Wheaton on Monday in one quarter, 10-4.
    Eden led Diamond with four points.
