Michael Monroe Lawson, 59, entered into rest on Dec. 3, 2012, at his home, following a short illness.
He was born March 4, 1953, in Stella, to George and Thelma (Clouse) Lawson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Teresa Lawson.
Michael was a long-time resident of the area and worked as a car detailer. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed his hobby of woodworking. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Michael married Kristi Sanders on Sept. 14, 1978 in Neosho, and she survives.
He is also survived by his children; Lennie Lawson and wife, Genia, Neosho, Tawnya Blankenship and husband, Randy Neosho, Justin Lawson and wife, Christina, Webb City; Candace Osburne and husband, Billy, Lincoln, Ark.; a brother, Randy J. Lawson and wife, Judy, Neosho; three sisters, Angela Prewitt and husband, Howard, Wheaton, Crystal Ross and her late husband, Jack, Fairview, Sarah Hutsell, Wheaton; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Gibson Cemetery, Neosho, with Rev. Billy Martin officiating.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
