With the game coming down the wire, the Gravette girls hit their free throws to cap a big fourth quarter and knock off the McDonald County Lady Mustangs, 47-36 in regular season action on Tuesday.
The Lady Mustangs actually held a 29-27 advantage at the start of the fourth quarter, but Gravette came alive and closed the game on a 20-8 tear to come away with the victory. After three key players fouled out late in the game for the Lady Mustangs, Gravette stepped the line and knocked down its free throws to help seal the win.
Preslea Reece rattled in 15 points in the loss while Sarah Rickman followed with seven, Courtni Smith five, Dani Pierce four and Cendy Garcia and Baili Nelson two apiece.
Davis led Gravette with 15 points while White chipped in 10.
McDonald County (0-3) entertains Aurora at 6 p.m. Thursday.
