  • A Newton County woman received minor injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash just west of Granby.
    Julie R. Weding, 50, of Granby, was traveling northbound on Missouri 59 and U.S. 60, four miles west of Granby, when her 1995 Isuzu was struck from behind by a 2006 Honda, driven by Roscoe S. Eatherly, 67 of Branson West.
    Weding was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital for treatment.
    Eatherly was not injured in the crash.

    A single-vehicle crash in Newton County resulted in minor injuries for a Joplin man.
    Dustin L. Colvard, 19, was traveling northbound on U.S. 71, four miles south of Joplin, early Tuesday morning, when his 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada ran off the roadway and struck an embankment.
    Colvard, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, was taken to Freeman West Hospital, in Joplin.
