Cynthia ‘Kay’ Crenshaw, 55, entered into rest on Dec. 10, 2012, at Freeman West ICU Joplin, following a short illness.

She was born June 1, 1957, in Greenville, Miss., to Lorenzo and Tylitha (Manning) Brown. Kay was a lifelong resident of Granby and worked in the health care industry as a medical tech until her death. She was also a veteran of the Air Force.
Kay’s life partner; Ruth Weese survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Lori Newman, Joplin; a sister, Denise Brown, Miami, Okla.; three grandchildren, Christian Newman, Dalton Newman and Aiden Newman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Tylitha (Manning) Brown; and two brothers, Cecil and Dennis Brown.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 at Clark Funeral Home, Granby Chapel,  Granby. Steve Urie officiating. Kay will lie in state from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday.
