A big second half comeback led the Seneca girls basketball team to a 55-49 victory over Joplin on Thursday.
After trailing by 15 points after the first quarter and 11 at the half, Seneca stormed back to outscore Joplin 37-20 in the second half.
The win, Seneca’s second in a row, pushed the Lady Indians’ record to 3-2 this season.
“This was a nice road win for our club,” Lady Indians coach Bob Coffey said. “Facing a great deal of adversity, but somehow managing to come out with a victory can do a lot for a developing team.
“Hopefully this experience will be something we can continue to build on.”
Molli Cooper led the Lady Indians with 18 points while Bailey Skelton turned in 17 and Annie Howard chipped in 11.
