Edna Sturgeon, 79, Neosho, died Dec. 29, 2012 at Freeman West Hospital, following a sudden illness. Edna was born Oct. 15, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Okla. and lived most of her life in the Southwest Missouri area.
She worked at Teledyne, Crowder Industries and at A&W Restaurant in Neosho. She was a member of the Neosho Area Widow to Widow and Calvary Baptist Church.
Edna married Virgil Sturgeon on June 21, 1952 at Oklahoma City, Okla. and he preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2008.
She is survived by two sons, Donnie Sturgeon, Neosho and Ronnie Sturgeon, Carthage; three grandchildren, Christina Sturgeon, Amanda Brattin and Chad Sturgeon; 4 great grandchildren and a sister, Ann Kelley, Neosho.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Misty Graff; great grandson, Coby Brattin and two brothers.
Services will be Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho, Rev. Roger Brumley and Brother Sam Turner officiating.
Interment will be in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Wed. from 12-5 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
