  • Emma Lorene Hembree, 70, Neosho, died Jan. 8, 2013, at her home in Neosho, following a sudden illness.
    Emma was born June 3, 1942, in Joplin, and was a lifelong area resident. She worked at Tyson's Foods for 14 years and then as a home health aide for Oxford Home Health Care for 17 years and was a member of the Hornet Pentecostal Church.
    Emma married Ronald Eugene Hembree on Oct. 7, 1960 at Miami, Okla., and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2004.
    She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Hembree Bohl, Neosho; seven grandchildren, Sandra Martinez, Clayton Hembree, Tonya Vireros, Emily Coonce, Seth Bohl, Courtney Bohl and Tyler Bohl; 10 great grandchildren and two sisters, Norma McCoy and Geniva Smith, Hornet.
    In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Hembree, Jr. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Hornet Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow in the New Salem Cemetery West of Neosho.
    Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
