  • Julia Lenora Lewis, 90, Neosho, died Jan. 11, 2013, at Salem, Mo., following an illness since June 2012.
    Julia was born June 28, 1922, in Pawhuska, Okla., and moved to the area in 1954. She had worked as a cosmetologist and had taught oil painting classes at Crowder College as well as private lessons in her home and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Osage Tribal Nation and a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ.
    Julia married Kenneth Lewis on March 20, 1954, at Neosho and he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2012.
    She is survived by two children, Gary Kelley and wife, Sandra, of Russellville, Ark., and Debbie Casey and husband, Dan of Salem; one sister, Opal Dyer of Tulsa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
    In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sybil Bouler. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Denny Kruse will officiate. Interment will be in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Jason Casey, Jackson Casey, Dan Casey, Tyler Faulk and Gary Kelley. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Monday. Contributions in memory of Julia may be made to Cookson Hills Children's Home, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, 64850.
    Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
