Evelyn ‘Joyce’ Denison, 78, of Neosho, was called home to the Lord on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, following a lengthy illness.

Evelyn ‘Joyce’ Denison, 78, of Neosho, was called home to the Lord on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, following a lengthy illness.

Joyce was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Neosho, the daughter of Glen and Florence (McQuitty) Churchwell. Joyce was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker, lived for God, loved her family, and her Pomeranians.

She married Paul ‘Mack’ Denison on Sept. 28, 1952.

Joyce is survived by four children; Denny Denison and wife, Rebecca, Deanna Conness and husband, David, Darla Miller and husband, Ronny, Dairwin ‘Tater’ Denison and wife, Rowena, all of Neosho; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Ehrhart, and husband, Delbert.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Arthur Gene Churchwell; and her stillborn child.
Graveside services will be held 10 am Tuesday at New Salem Cemetery, west of Neosho; Pastor Danny Boggs officiating. The body will lie in state 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, with family receiving friends from 6-7 p.m.

Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
