Evert Earl Lawrence, 72, Neosho, died Jan. 18, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, following an illness.
Evert was born May 13, 1940, in Neosho, and was a lifelong Neosho resident. He worked at Talbot Wire for 39 years, retiring in 2005 to farm. He enjoyed collecting old tools and was a member of Burch Baptist Church.
Evert married Van M. Young on Feb. 10, 1962, in Neosho and she survives.
Additional survivors include three children, Brenda Ball and husband, Rick, Evert Lee Lawrence and Kathy Martin and husband, Bob, all of Neosho; six grandchildren, Patrick Ball and Jared Ball, Derek Lawrence, Shawn Lawrence and Nicholas Lawrence and Tiffany Martin; one great-grandchild, Corbin Martin; and one sister, Treva Kennedy, Grove, Okla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; and four sisters.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Doug Houdyshell and Rev. Floyd Barnard will officiate. Interment will be in the New Salem Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Gary Shellenberger, Patrick Ball, Jared Ball, Derek Lawrence, Shawn Lawrence and Nicholas Lawrence.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday and the family will receive friends from Wednesday 9 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m.
