Rex D. Phelps (Bull Dog), 72, Crawfordville, Fla., born May 12, 1940, in Granby, was promoted to Glory peacefully at 12:47 on Jan. 14, 2013 surrounded by family.
Rex served our country in the United States Navy and retired from Keystone Automotive. Rex loved hunting, fishing, side roads and spending time with family and friends.
Rex was preceded in death by his father, Thomas David Phelps; mother, Lucile Rebecca Depew’ Phelps; brother, Billy Phelps; and sister, Peggy Brock all of Granby; and daughter, Angel Bradley Crawfordville.
Rex is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lea Phelps Crawfordville; ex-wife, Carolyn Ball; sister June Barkley, San Pedro, Texas; and sister-in-law, Karen Phelps, Republic, Mo.; six daughters, Dawn Phelps Tallahassee, Fla., Babette Sproat (Roger) Warrensberg, Mo., Phyliss Wiechold, Lehigh Acres Fla., Pam Hughes, Crawfordville, Judi Moore (Greg) Tallahassee, Jacki Gilson (Dan), Wakulla Station, Fla.; sons: Trent Nazworth (Christine), Middleberg Fla., Ronnie Nazworth (Carrie lee), Crawfordville, John Pitts (Jennifer), Crawfordville; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with many nieces and nephews from a loving blended family that loved him very much.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and close friends.
