  • The Neosho seventh grade boys upset the No. 2 seed in the Central Ozark Conference Tournament on Thursday as it took down Republic in a laugher, 35-18, for third place.

  • The Neosho seventh grade boys upset the No. 2 seed in the Central Ozark Conference Tournament on Thursday as it took down Republic in a laugher, 35-18, for third place.
    The Wildcats (No. 4 seed) took charge early as Jarvis Funk scored all eight of his points in the first quarter to help give the Wildcats a 19-4 lead. They extended that advantage to 25-9 by halftime and never looked back.
    Brady Wise and Yeej Lee led all Wildcats with 10 points apiece while Funk followed with eight, Keilan Moore had four and Jared Scribner three. Moore also contributed four steals and two blocks while teammate Hank Selig snagged four steals.
    The Wildcats improved to 7-2 overall.
