Dustin Satterlee may never have another game like he did on Tuesday in his entire life.
Satterlee, a 6-foot junior, just couldn’t miss against the Neosho Wildcats as he went off to the tune of shooting 10-for-11 from the field, including eight-of-nine from 3-point range and scored 28 points to lead his Carl Junction Bulldogs to an 84-54 victory at Carl Junction High School.
Satterlee got the Bulldogs going in the first quarter where he buried seven 3-pointers in that frame alone as they built a 29-18 lead. Carl Junction responded with 30 points in the second quarter, pushing their lead to 59-28 at the half behind an 11-for-14 performance as a team from behind the arc in the first half alone.
The Bulldogs finished with 12 3-pointers in the game.
Travis Vogt followed Satterlee with 19 points while Matt Magee added 12, Gage Crockett 14, J Thomas two, Chase Johnston two, Hunter McPherson five and Ryan Devore two.
Darrian Guillory had 22 for the Wildcats while Chris Paullus added two, Kaden Roy seven, Logan Stuart six, Andy Lett two, Caden Hendricks five, Brett Williams one and Lukas Werneke nine.
Neosho (1-17) is at Carthage at 6 p.m. Friday.
Carl Junction also won the junior varsity game, 56-43. Devin Hames led the Wildcats with 10 points.
The Wildcats won the 9th grade game, 45-43. Tanner Mitchell led the Wildcats with 20 points.
