Registration is now open for the inaugural Neosho Sprint Triathlon, presented by Freeman Health System and Prime Care Family Medicine, Dr. Craig Pendergrass. The race will be held on Saturday, March 30, in Neosho.
The event is being organized by Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Inc., as part of its mission to build a no-kill animal rescue and adoption center in Neosho.
Competitors will complete a 300-yard indoor pool swim, then bike 13.5 miles, and run 3.1 miles. Individuals can compete for awards in age group categories and teams of two or three members can also compete. The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and will be held at the Freeman Neosho Family YMCA near Crowder College.
