Edith Lucille Van Vossen, 90, entered into rest on Feb. 9, 2013, at Medicalodge Neosho, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1922, in Gravette, Ark., to Louis C. and Zelda (Duncan) Puryear.
Edith was a lifelong area resident and worked as a print setter for the Neosho Daily News. She retired from there after many years of service.
Edith married John Van Vossen on July 21, 1954, in Las Vegas, Nev., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2008.
She is also preceded in death by her brother.
She is survived by her special friend, Melvin Miller and other friends at the Oaks in Neosho.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories Neosho; Dr. Jerry Seigel officiating. Interment will be in Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery Neosho. Pallbearers are Melvin Miller, Tom Workman, and friends.
The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, with visitation being held from 6 to 7 p.m.
