GRANBY — Authorities with the Newton County Sheriff's Department arrested two men at a suspected meth lab in Granby Tuesday morning.
Chris Jennings, Newton County's chief deputy, said authorities served a search warrant at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday at a residence at 21691 Highway J, in Granby.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Paul T. Kyger, 56, of the residence, and Ronnie P. Christy, 35, of Monett.
Jennings said both men were charged with manufacturing a controlled substance. He said the two suspects are jailed and their bonds have been set at $100,000 each.
Jennings said upon arrival authorities found the men breaking down pills, suspected to be used as pre-cursors for meth production.
Jennings said a lab setup was found in a storm shelter, while components were found in the house.
"We got approximately five grams of what we believe is meth," Jennings said.
He said several production supplies were also found at the residence.
