Jack Carlson Hagensicker, 86, entered into rest on Feb. 12, 2013, at his home, following a sudden illness.
He was born on Aug. 29, 1926 in Neosho, to John Charles and Ellen (Carlson) Hagensicker.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Neosho and worked for Pet Milk for 35 years and then for Tyson Foods until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and received the honor of Purple Heart. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Jack married Betty Ward on Nov. 26, 1949, in Neosho, and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2012.
He is survived by his children, Rhonda and husband, Steve Yost, Bella Vista, Ark., Larry and wife, Susan Hagensicker, Bentonville, Ark.; brother, Charles Hagensicker, Bahama, N.C; grandchildren, Justin Millard, Brandon Millard, Branden Yost, Jennifer Hagensicker; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, at Clark Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories Neosho. Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery, Neosho; Shawn Wallace and Ronnie Nowell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
