Eva M. Butler, 82, Neosho, died Feb. 17, 2013, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Butler was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Turn, Iowa, the daughter of Nels and Rosetta (Carroll) Jensen. She was a lifelong area resident, a homemaker and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Her family was her top priority.
Eva married Lester J. Butler on Jan. 30, 1947, at Columbus, Kan., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1998.
She is survived by a son, Mike Butler and wife, Vickie; and a daughter, Vickie Brown and husband, George, both of Granby; two grandchildren, Greg Butler and Stacey Broyles; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maudie Chathan, Johnson, Kan.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Brother Mike Bevis will officiate. Interment will be in the Gibson Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Jonah Summitt, Bill Butler, John Butler, Ernie Broyles, Jerry Mahaffey and Don Osborne.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday and the family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
