  • Neosho native and Arizona State wrestling redshirt freshman Blake Stauffer turned in quite a performance this weekend in the Pac-12 Championships at Wells Fargo Arena.
The 5-foot-11, 174 pound former Wildcat began the day with a bye in the championship bracket of the 174-pound class and ended it with a second-place finish in his belt.
Stauffer made it to the championship bout by defeating Oregon State’s Cody Weishoff, 4-2, in the semifinals. He then squared off against CSU-Bakersfield’s Bryce Hammond in for the Pac-12 title, but fell short, 10-4.
Oregon State went on to claim their second Pac-12 title in as many years.
