Marie Halverson, 87, Granby, died March 4, 2013 at Red Rose Health and Rehab Center in Cassville, following an illness.
Marie was born June 14, 1925, in Greenfield, Okla., the daughter of Oren and Linnie (Smith) Underwood. She worked as a machine operator at Granby Manufacturing, retiring in 1976.
She married Harold Halverson, who preceded her in death.
Marie is survived by three children, Brenda Phelps and husband, Jim, Cassville, Ed Halverson and wife, Linda, Ponca City, Okla., and Ron Halverson and wife, Carol, Granby; one brother, Cleo Underwood; a sister, Hazel Ladd; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Granby Memorial Cemetery, Rev. Ralph Walker will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Charlton, Chris Anderson, Bob Jorgenson, Brett Hobson, Steve Schnackenberg, Rich Puckett and Aric Halverson. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
