  • A Fairview woman was injured Saturday evening in a motorcycle crash east of Wheaton.
    Hazel E. Long, 41, sustained moderate injuries when the 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle she was a passenger on ran off the roadway and overturned.
    James M. Masters, 59, of Neosho, was driving the motorcycle westbound on Route W, two miles east of Wheaton, when the bike crashed. He was not injured in the crash.
    Long was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin for treatment.

    A single-vehicle crash south of Joplin sent one local man to the hospital Sunday evening.
    Marc R. Hunkins, 27, of Joplin, was traveling northbound on Gateway Drive, three miles south of Joplin, when the 2000 Chrysler Sebring he was driving ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
    Hunkins sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin for treatment.
