Kodiak Road, on the south side of Highway 60, is set to be closed today through early June to allow for road work, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Contractor crews from APAC-Missouri plan to widen the road as it approaches Highway 60.
Traffic on Highway 60 will also be shifted to the north of Kodiak Road.
Though the roadway will be closed, drivers will be able to get to driveways and other entrances on either side of the closing, according to MoDOT.
The work is included in the Neosho Transportation Development District, and includes the widening of the intersection, as well as the addition of a traffic signal at Kodiak Road and Highway 60.
The TDD was formed in Feb. 2011 and stretches from Waldo Hatler Drive to Industrial Drive, and from Kodiak Road to just east of Laramie Lane.
A half-cent sales tax has been collected within its borders since Jan. 1, 2012.
The project is expected to cost $824,000 and be completed by June 30.
