Jewell Marie Pyron, 93, Neosho, died March 14, 2013, at her home in Neosho, following an illness.
Mrs. Pyron was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Stigler, Okla., the daughter of Louis C. and Mary A. (Boyd) Summers. She resided in Oklahoma City, Okla., prior to moving to Webb City and in 2010, she moved to Neosho. Jewell was a homemaker and a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ.
She married James W. Pyron on Aug. 24, 1944, at Richmond, Calif., and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1992.
She is survived by four children, Jim Pyron and wife, Karen, Diamond, Jan Gamble, Neosho, Jeanne Bachlor, Broken Arrow, Okla. and Jerry Pyron and wife, Rita, Ft. Worth, Texas; two brothers, Wendall Summers, Taft, Calif., and Lloyd Summers, Ft. Smith, Ark.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Gamble; five brothers; and one sister.
The body has been taken for cremation and a memorial service was held on Saturday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ, Denny Kruse officiated.
