H. Lindell Tracy, 72, Neosho, died March 17, 2013 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Tracy was born Dec. 8, 1940, in Fairview, the son of Houston and Maxine (Miracle) Tracy. He was a lifelong area resident, had served in the U.S. Army and worked at Vicker's in Joplin and later for the Big Nickel. Lindell was an active member of the Newton County Democrats and a former board member of the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
He married Sharon Miller in 1963 and she survives.
He is also survived by two children, Sherry Appleman and husband, Ed, Mayflower, Ark., and Brad Tracy and wife, Stacey, Neosho; four grandchildren, Jason Tracy, Aaron Tracy, Dalton Potts and Reba Potts; one brother, Don Tracy and wife, Karen, Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers- in-law, Leonard Miller and Ed Pudzer, both of Neosho; and sister, Mary Alice Thompson, Kansas City, Mo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Craig Michael Tracy; and two sisters, Wilma Miller and Judy Pudzer. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Tom Thorne will officiate. Interment will be in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Jason Tracy, Aaron Tracy, Dalton Potts, Travis Oxendine, Andy Wood and Bill Horton. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Compton, Leonard Miller, Ed Pudzer, Oliver Miller, Kenny Miller and Ed Appleman. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
