The Neosho Wildcat Xtreme Team (WXT) youth wrestling team is sending 24 youth grapplers to the state tournament in St. Louis, Mo., on March 28-30.
Of the 24 medalists, the Wildcats brought home 14 regional champions, followed by two second, five third and three fourth place finishers.
In the 8-under division, Raymond Hembree took fourth place at 45 pounds for the Wildcats, while Hayden Crane (70 pounds) took first and Jacob Gavener (130) finished fourth.
In the 10-under class, Skylar Lumpkins (50) took first, Landon Kivett (55) finished first, Marcus Shaeffer (60) took third, Cayden Auch (55) grabbed second, Kolton Sanders (80) finished first, Zane Cotten (85) claimed first, Keaton Sanders (90) took third, Drayke Perry (110) came in second and Kale Schrader (110) got first.
At 12-under Dalton Hembree (85) finished first, as did Trenton Young (90). Meanwhile, Braxton Barnes (95) and Trevon Letts (150) both took third.
In the 14-under division, Dakota Bronson (90), Dalton Kivett (100), Sam Townsend (105), Trey Smith (110), Gannon Millard (125) and Adrian Hitchcock (175) all finished in first place. Kyle Sanders (130) finished fourth and John Meyer (150) was third.
