Driving back and forth between the north and south,  there was this one farm I would always see. It piqued my interest with its miles of white fences, beautiful horses in the fields and I often wondered who owned this huge horse farm and if they offered tours...I found out!

It was the Kentucky Horse Park and absolutely there are tours and so much information on Kentucky Thoroughbred's, horse racing, breeding and you get an up close look at some of the great champions

The Kentucky Horse Park is a great place to spend a spring, fall, summer or even a sunny winter day.

There is so much to do and see, it will take you the better part of the day...so plan time in your schedule.

In April the park hosts a special event. I posted about it last year click here to read.

Here is the updated info.

The Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event will run from April 25 through 28. It is part of the HSBC FEI (The Federation Equestre Internationale) Classics TM. The Classics series unites the best riders and horses on the international eventing circuit, namely the five four-star evening competitions on the annual world-wide equestrian calendar.

There are only six Four Star Three Day Events in the world and Kentucky Horse Park hosts the only one in North America. It is known as one of the world's most prestigious equestrian competitions.

Attending the event you will find the world's best horses and riders working for their share of $250,000 in prize money and also a shot at the $350,000 Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing awarded to any rider who wins the Rolex Kentucky, Mitsubishi Motors Badminton and Land Rover Burghley Four Star Events in succession.

A visit to the Kentucky Horse Park is great on its own, but the addition of this world class event adds to the excitement.

Held in conjunction with the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, the Kentucky Reining Cup features the only Three Star Reining competition in the world in 2013, on Friday evening and the incredibly popular World Freestyle Championship on Saturday. Riders guide their horses through prescribed turns, sliding stops and flying lead changes. <>

There is so much more. Plan a visit!
