On March 26, 2013, our beloved mother, Lila Mae Garrow, passed away peacefully in Owasso, Okla.

She was born on June 11, 1920, in the town of Lanark, Wis., to Joseph and Eugenia Clinton.

She married George M. Garrow in 1938. They resided in New London, Wis., area on a Garrow farm. While in Wisconsin, the first five of their eight children were born. In 1949, they moved to South Dakota where their family was completed with the addition of three more children. In 1963, they relocated to Kansas for a short time. In 1968, they purchased a small farm in Northeast Oklahoma, where they finished raising their family and farmed for 20 years. After George’s death in 1988, Lila moved to Neosho, and with life changes in 2010, she relocated to Evergreen Care Center in Owasso, until her death.

Lila lived life to its fullest. She enjoyed time spent with family, friends, volunteering with various groups in her community in addition to her time spent daily at the Newton County Senior Center. She was a member of St. Canera Catholic Church. She enjoyed music, baking, gardening, fishing, and helping others.

Lila is survived by her children; Gerald Garrow, Joplin, Gilbert ‘Gib’ Garrow and wife, Sherrie, Neosho, William ‘Bill’ Garrow and wife, Kathy, Sapulpa, Okla., Debbie House and husband, Keith, Collinsville, Okla., Dianne Garrow and life partner, Kristina Konkol, Lakewood, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; sister Mildred Trice, Royalton, Wis.; brother, Joseph Clinton, Bear Creek, Wis.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Garrow; and three children; daughter, Katherine M. Butler; two sons, Leonard M. Garrow and Lowell G. ‘Shorty’ Garrow.

Rosary will be said at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at Clark Funeral Home Neosho, with visitation from 3-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 1, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories Neosho, Rev. Henry W. Grodecki, C.M., officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m., Glenn Abbey Cemetery, Miami, Okla.
