  • The Neosho boys’ tennis team opened the season on the road Thursday and came away on the short end of a 7-2 decision to Webb City.
    The Wildcats (0-1, 0-1 Central Ozark Conference Large Division) got wins from Paul Sanders (No. 6 singles) over Pherson Hardee 8-3, and Jace Hendricks and Sanders (No. 3 doubles) over Nolan Munch and Hardee, 8-6.
    Other results from the day with Neosho listed first in singles were: Tucker Bailey lost to Larry Chambers 8-2. Jordan Cox lost to Tucker Palone 8-4. Trenton Hopper lost to Logan Sperry 8-2. Nathan Scribner lost to Quentin Kolb 8-3 and Hendricks lost to Munch 9-7.
    In doubles, Bailey-Cox lost to Chambers-Palone 8-2. Hopper-Scribner lost to Sperry-Kolb 8-0.
