  • Despite playing on at the Cassville Golf Course for the first time ever on Thursday, the Neosho Wildcats fared well as they brought home second place out of 15 teams at the Cassville Tournament.
The Wildcats were the runners-up to Aurora’s 319, and followed by Republic 339, Mount Vernon 345 and Carl Junction 347 to round out the top five teams.
Neosho’s Blake Augustine brought home first place in the individual results with a low of 74. Kyler Snow, meanwhile, finished in fourth place with an 80, while Ryan Kelly turned in an 89, Calin Adams 96 and Tyler Clemons 95.
“This was the first time for any of our guys to play the Cassville course, so I thought we had a really good day overall with two players in the top-five, and to come in second as a team,” Wildcats coach Mark Daugherty said.
The Wildcats are back on the links at 9 a.m. Monday at the Bolivar Tournament.
