Louis Dwight Johnson, 81, Yorktown, Texas, died Sunday, April 7, 2013.
He was born Nov. 29, 1931, in McAllen, Texas, to the late Clarence and Elsie Harrison Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Gwen Johnson, Yorktown; daughters, Debbie Sturm, Yorktown and Paula Johnson, Branson; sons, Ronny (Cheryl) Smith, Mission, Texas, LC (Rosanna) Smith, San Antonio, Texas, Lester (Donna) Smith, Mission, and Dwight (Lindsey) Johnson, Neodesha, Kan.; sisters, Juanita Pearson, Rachel Dunn and Lucille (Warren) McClain; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, JW Johnson, Paul Johnson and Merle Johnson.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Yorktown. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Yorktown with Rev. Mark Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ron Smith, A.J Sturm, Trevor Meuth, Brandon Meuth, Beau Smith, Cody Smith, Matthew Bruns and Tyler Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Massey, Jim Bruns, Richard King, Ethan Smith, Braden Smith, Bailor Smith, Jack King, Hayden Meuth and Ezra Johnson.
