Gail I. Hutto, 72, Granby, died April 11, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a sudden illness.  

Gail was born Oct. 17, 1940, in New York and moved to the area 21 years ago from Los Angeles, Calif. She was a homemaker and had a passion for quilting, traveling and her church. She is a member of the Granby United Methodist Church.  

Gail married Cecil Hutto on Dec. 29, 1979, at Las Vegas, Nev., and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2003.  

She is survived by three children, Tammy Mikeska, state of Washington, Christopher Mikeska, Anderson and Kelly Toomoth, Neosho; one brother, George Countryman, state of Florida; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Hope Mikeska and Vincent ‘Spike’ Mikeska, III; and three step-children, William Hutto, Jr., Cynthia Hutto and Rebecca Hutto.  

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby. Interment will be in the Granby Memorial Cemetery.  

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby from noon until 7 p.m. Monday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
